Setsuna Saizuki is a young, shy "college" student. One day, she was approached by a mysterious being named Karin, who gave her the magical sapphire ring Lea Feil. With it and a chant far too silly to repeat here, she can transform from plain, ordinary Setsuna into... Guardian Angel Setsuna! Who is a lot like regular Setsuna, except she carries the Sword of Flame and Light, Klau Solas, kicks rather a great deal more ass, and has a ghostly green-haired girl following her around all the time. When she is summoned into the mysterious world of I-Praseru, she immediately resolves to do her best to end the troubles there. And Karin, too, feels a strange drawing towards Ihadulca...

Setsuna is a magical girl, though she's actually presented a little more occultish than, say, Sailor Moon. While on Earth, she and Karin battle against the forces of the "Dark World", and their leader Vice. Setsuna is childhood friends with Midori, whose affectionate nickname for her is Yuki. Midori actually taught Setsuna several self-defence moves which she uses in the game (anything with 'Fuin' in the name, generally).

The name of the "college" she attends is Mikamuro, and she's normally wearing their winter uniform, though the summer sailor suit uniform is her unlockable third outfit. No matter which of the uniforms you pick, though, the skirt has a remarkable tendancy to fly up in Marilyn Monroe-esque fashion at the slightest provocation. Given this, not to mention Karin's storyline tie to Ihadulca, and the fact that Setsuna's ending is uniquely presented (it's longer and not as broken up by the credits as the others), it's a pretty safe bet she's the default "main" character of the story... no matter what Danzaiver says.
