The hot-tempered and arrogant pupil of the mighty reigning God of Muay Thai, Sagat, Adon participated in the first Street Fighter tournament in order to move out from under the shadow of his teacher. However, his arrogance proved his undoing, and a cocky mistake cost him a match against Ryu, who later went on to defeat Sagat and win said tournament.
Adon was enraged over these events. However, his anger was not directed at Ryu, but rather at Sagat for allowing another warrior to defeat him and disgracing the name of Muay Thai. He challenged his former master and barely managed to defeat him, thus earning the right to call himself the new God of Muay Thai. Convinced that he is the world’s strongest practitioner of the world’s greatest martial art, Adon nonetheless remembers his loss to Ryu, and seeks to gain more power. In light of that, he is seeking a mysterious warrior named Akuma, who is said to wield the same dark power Ryu used to defeat Sagat…
Adon, while not actually as strong as his former master, nor as strong as he thinks he is, is still no slouch. He legitimately holds his title against all would-be challengers, and was able to develop his own signature Muay Thai style that was very distinctive from Sagat’s. He is rightly considered one of the strongest fighters of Thailand, and is probably around as strong as post-Amaguriken Ranma.
