This young boy (yes, BOY) is an old schoolmate of Ukyou’s, who attended the same all-boy’s (yes, BOY’S) school she did before she left for Nerima. While they attended school together, Tsubasa somehow found out about Ukyou’s real gender, and developed an intense infatuation for her. He wrote her copious love letters, gave her an endless array of cute and thoughtful gifts, and otherwise acted like a (very persistant) lovestruck schoolgirl around her, behaviour that did not endear him to Ukyou in the slightest.
Tsubasa has an exceptional mastery of disguise and camoflauge. Aside from the fact that he can pass as a cute girl to nearly anyone as long as he’s wearing clothes, Tsubasa enjoys “dressing up”, and frequently appears in a variety of unlikely, but very expertly crafted disguises, ranging from signposts to garbage cans to giant umbrella-eye-monster-things. As obvious by the last, not all of Tsubasa’s disguises are what one would consider inconspicuous, but all are invariably well-done.
Tsubasa, while not in any confusion over his actual gender, acts like a stereotypical cute, flighty Japanese schoolgirl, and seems to feel most comfortable doing so. He has no interest in pursuing relationships with his own gender, but IS eager to pursue them with Ukyou… though his eyes have been known to wander on the occasion of any other girl being particularly nice to him. He has little demonstrated martial arts skill, but his disguises are often so heavy and sturdy that he can do such things as smash through walls with them.
