Setsuna Meiou is the civilian identity of Sailor Pluto. As Sailor Pluto, she is charged with guarding the Gates of Time, a mysterious artifact of immense power that allows one to travel backward and forward in time. She takes this job very seriously, and has been known to attack anyone trespassing in her dominion. She is perhaps the most dedicated of the Sailor Senshi, and the only one for whom it can be said that her civilian idenity is not her ‘true’ self.
Sailor Pluto’s access to the Gates gives her immense powers over time. She is limited in what she can do, however, by her oaths not to abuse the power of the Gates. She has the standard suite of supernatural physical enhancements that all the Sailor Senshi seem to enjoy: that is, enhanced speed, stamina and strength. She also carries around a large key-shaped staff, which serves as her connection to the Gates of Time and the source of her powerful magical attacks. The complete extent of her powers is never explored.
